Cynthia is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor who graduated summa cum laude with her Master’s at Ottawa University and a specialty in Clinical Counseling.  She attended both University of Arizona and Arizona State University, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry cum laude.  She is a fourth generation Arizonan with a heart to encourage and heal her clients and families.  As a mother of four sons, she spent many years participating in their various activities and school settings.  She deeply understands the joys and challenges of parenting at all ages.

Cynthia works well with conflictual and non-conflictual family systems to help parents resolve different perspectives that affect their children.  Using family dynamics, cognitive behavior therapy and various parenting skills, she hopes to guide families to grow resilient children whether they are in one home or two.

With a background in Clinical Counseling and a Chemical Science expertise, she also specializes in neuro-psychological disorders, arrested development, and trauma.  Arrested delays may be biological or emotional in nature or possibly connected to past trauma.  Cynthia is well trained in expressive-creative and play therapy techniques, which help clients process their healing in a non-invasive manner.
